Our story
My name is Jamie and I am thrilled that you are here! What began as something as simple as being introduced to Little Bear and Owl at Home as a child, became a lifelong passion of reading and building a library of quality books. Add to that discovering the joy of sharing those treasures with other families, and this shop was born!
As a homeschool family, books are as necessary to us as breathing. Our shelves are (literally) overflowing with many of the same books you find on here. They are well-loved friends. We believe that books are an integral part of raising well-balanced children as well as instilling character. But we must not forget the joy of reading simply for joy’s sake! Whether it’s childrens books or books for us to enjoy on our own, Cozy Cottage Bookshop is here to help you be reunited with old books friends as well as discover new ones!

You will find many vintage books here. Books that have been deemed old-fashioned or out-of-touch are some of my absolute favorites. One of my joys is to save vintage books and unite them with readers and collectors who will appreciate them.
You will also find many non-vintage books, destined to become classics, or simply comfort reads. There is a huge variety available!
