In Appalachia in 1918, little Ruthie and her father have picked the perfect Christmas tree for their family to donate to the church on Christmas Eve. Papa is supposed to be home by then to fetch the tree, but when he isn’t there in time, it will take a happy miracle to make this Christmas extra special.
